About a year ago, a fellow blogger and New Orleans native contacted me. He had been living in Portland, Oregon for a few years and reading NOadventure.com from the Pacific Northwest. His comment can be found somewhere on this site, but it’s something like, “I can’t wait to come back to New Orleans so I can start doing all this cool stuff.”
Hold the phone. Dude lives in Oregon. He’s smack dab in the middle of Adventure Country, USA. Kayaking, climbing, biking(fat tires or skinny), mountaineering, surfing, caving, snowboarding, and whateverthefuckyouwanttodooutside is all at your disposal. BUT, NOadventure.com had him thinking that the good ol’ Crescent City was the real spot for having fun.
The truth is, you can make your own adventure anywere you are. It doesn’t take money or mountains or oceans. All you need is some creativity and the real desire to GET OUT THERE.
I recently read a friend of mine comment on the internet, “stir-crazy, but unmotivated.” Well, I guess your case of cabin fever isn’t that severe. Prioritize your life. Like I said in my last post on Warrior Dash, “you’re not getting any younger”(okay, on closer inspection, I write that). YOU ARE NOT GETTING ANY YOUNGER.
